My son found this turtle while fishing and put him in aquarium with a large goldfish. They get along fine, but I want to make him an aquarium of his own. He is doing well in the one set up now, so should I just leave the water level and everything the same. I do not have a heater or light source in fish aqaurium, should I out one in Scooters? If I have identified him/her correctly, it is a snapping turtle. Does anyone know if I am correct on this? Any help would be much appreciated. I would like to have a new home set up for him for my son when he comes home from Boot Camp for Christmas. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Thats a snapping turtle, i would suggest his own tank if you plan to keep him since they get very large
also make sure to keep the PH level in your tank low or he might develop a skin condition |
