Hello,
Im new to this forum...but I'm so glad someone put this together. I have two slider turtles that Ive had for about 3 years now...I had them since they were baby turtles...Never had I seen an egg between them...well about 2 months ago, my friend found a turtle by the lake and brought it to me...it looked different but at the time I thought it looks more like a water turtle although the shell was quite different from the other turtles...well I learned shortly there after that it was a mud turtle... Ive had it in the same tank with my other turtles and there has been no problems .....I have a swim area and dry land for basking. Well a few days ago I noticed something new when I went to feed them...what looked at first site like a Mentos...I realized then that it was an egg!!!! Is it possible for one of my sliders to fertilze a mud turtles eggs or the reverse???? They are very protective of it. I cant get anywhere near it ...actually my sliders are not aggressive towards me...the other one is....however, they all kind of gather around it instinctively...is there anything I need to do to help this egg hatch??? Any help is much appreciated...
Thanks guys!

If the egg is under water it is probably not good anymore, they need oxygen to survive, if it is on land then it needs to be incubated, here is a link to what to do if you found an egg:
